This design is part of a bigger series of hanging structure designed for Novello Alpaca Farm in South Africa.
Working in close collaboration with Jan Jamieson from Novello Alpaca Farm in South Africa Piadesign has been developing a form of upholstery from the alpaca fibre. This function allows for the qualities of the fibre to be fully enjoyed: their softness and warmth is close to the body.
They combined the crafts of weaving and felting. These processes complement one another: the weave gives strength to the felt and the felt gives softness to the weave, thus forming a strong upholstered membrane.

Crazy how it’s going to be ten years Sunday for 9/11. Some always ask the questions where were you that day? I was in the 6th grade at that time so I was eleven. I remember that I had just had history class when it was announced on the speaker that this had happened we immediately started praying…I went to a Christian school so it was very much recommended. At that time only one tower had fell and by lunch the second one had fallen. They sat up a tv in the cafeteria and we could see it. I had no idea what the world trade center was but I knew one thing that this was something very bad happening to our country, that God was definitely not in it. I remember coming home finding out about the pentagon and later on the other plane that went down in Pennsylvania. It’s crazy how so many things happened. Everyone was scared they all turned to God and after ten years where is that now? We live in a time here where we don’t have tomorrow promised. We have no idea how much time there is or when Jesus will be back. One thing is for certain we don’t need to relax in this spiritual battle because the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy in our weakest times. Just how this happened we were so relaxed that we weren’t ready for this attack now everyone is ready for the fight if it were ever to happen again which I could. On Sunday. So as we remember this day 9/11, September 11th…we need to keep in mind of where we are now as a Country and pray for our leaders. We have the authority so take hold of it and pray like you never have. We need to take back our country on what it was founded on. Amen? Amen!! God Bless all :)
